Oh no you didn't!

At first, I was thinking that it was the final battle, but with the transporter getting destroyed, now you've caught my interest. That's a good thing I like about this is the fact that the plot does loop you in a bit, although I do think Shadow being brainwashed was a little rushed. Would have enjoyed seeing that more. I do like the new cut scenes and the intro, giving it more of an RPG/Sprite movie feel and thank you, THANK YOU for the cut scene choice.

Although everything is borrowed from other sources, I do think you've programmed this well. Even though there is no leveling system, there is some growth shown through the increase in HP, power, and healing. The new addition of the Giga can also be considered an increase in growth, probably because now that everyone is together. I find the increasements for this new power fair and it is definitely good for those that want to take off some of the challenge to fighting eg. Bowser.

The fighting system works well and I like the edition of naming the enemy attacks.

If lacking anything, it's probably in the fact that there is no original content outside of the plot and fighting system of sorts. Overall though, it's a good game and I do hope to see more from the series and see it develop more and more. It definitely shows growth from the first one. Good luck and can't wait for MMS RPG 4.

You've done it again.

I loved the first Between the Lines game and this one is just as good, even better, giving me some goals to work towards. Spacebar seems functional; but, my only suggestion for BTL 3 would be the ability to unlock new music. Love the song selected, but if you could find a couple more pumping tunes to add, I think it would make the series soar! Awesome work as usual.

I'm glad you're a fan of the series :) The problem with adding multiple sound tracks is that the file size would become very large forcing you to wait a long time before you can start playing the game. If you happen to have an iPhone please consider purchasing the game in the app store so I can continue making games like this!

Needs to be expanded.

The art is good, the voices funny, and the concept with the puppets interesting, but it desperately needs to be expanded, such as going through a day living with one of the lucky men. When/if you do expand on it, do post it. other than that, not a bad job.

blockthelayup responds:

I really don't have the time for an expansion but thanks for the review ! (:

Fun!

Good drawing, decent clothing, but the one that got me was her expression when you click on the undergarments (I ain' t that much of a perv, just clicked was all) XD. Good job.

Awesome!

Excellent work for your first game. Nice graphics and good sound. I definitely need to learn about scrolling. Keep it up and I hope to see more works in 2011 by you.

Pure Win

The only thing that would make this game more awesome would be medals! The acheivements are already there. Why not?

An awesome variation

This is really fun. Working physics, good graphics, nice sound. Had some slowdown when there were a lot of objects on the screen, but that was easily fixed. Nice work.

Bravo!

While it's quite a simple game, it is a very, very good start in your submissions to newgrounds. The title is quite catching, and somewhat fitting if one thinks about it, and the howl-like music at the beginning and end sent shivers through me and, again, if one thinks deeply into it, is fitting. Graphics are simple, but it's not supposed to be a complex game. Love the use of the fixel framework for this.

Downside is, well, that it can be too easy if one has a good arm or hand. The blue dot doesn't immediately disappear when it hits the red dot and again, if one has a good arm, they can avoid this for hours on end, which can become boring. Good job adding a scoring system though to at least give some objective.

Overall, simple, cleaning, addicting but can become dragged out. For a first submission, this is awesome and I know that if you take the time to work out a new and different game and don't rush it, it should be excellent. I hope to see more submissions from you. Good luck!

Not bad

It's a decent highscore game, but if it were me, I'd make it so I could hit things as well with the boomerang. At least, there wasn't anything that I could find hitable.

i tried that but something in the code didnt work so im gonna put that into another update later!

Eh, not bad for a Tycoon Experiement

It's not too bad if it's your first tycoon game, but if you decide to go back and work on it some more, I have a few suggestions that I didn't see in this first game :
-Do make it so you can save money
-add more building types
-add more upgrades, possibly ones for specific buildings and such
-An important one would be to add scenarios, such as fires, natural disasters, angry village people, nuclear power explosion, and hell, even a zombie take over, stuff to fuck people up unless they're ready for it, cash-wise, buildings upgraded, etc.

I do like how different buildings have different rates on how they get money, music is...eh...not bad, but repetitive, and that is alright, overall, a decent first tycoon(if it is your first) and not bad for your third game. You've got potential. Keep working!

Still a blammer and protector, but have now tried making my own games. Oh boy...
