How TGF2 was supposed to be used

I must admit, although I use Games Factory myself, I usually dread seeing the logo as I'm usually expecting another chocobreak variant, or a crappy platformer someone slapped together in 10 minutes. This is different and has restored my faith that there are people out there that are actually using the program to make decent and fun games.

It was very addicting and although the graphics were simple, I liked them. The music was fitting and the game concept was something that you don't always see. Good job.

Only thing that kinda put me down a little was a repetition of some levels. You have that set to generate randomly?

Overall, good game, quite addictive and I hope to see more from you. Good job!

Thanks for the review LosaruTaiyo.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game and actually found it addicting. It means a lot to me.

About the levels sometimes repeating, I did use Random() in TGF2 so that it would calculate randomly which level to jump to next. Every now and then it would jump to the same level though. I looked it up on the ClickTeam forums and it turns out that the random operator has something to do with the computer's clock. So I guess in the end it might not be so random after all and repeats will occur depending on what time it is on your clock... that's what I understand so far anyways.

Thanks for the review, I'm glad you liked the game :)
I will continue to make more.

Unlike Greedy, I can share the points

This game is wonderful! The music is nice and relaxing, the artwork is cute and colorful and the puzzle-style is almost innovative to me, since I haven't played one like it before.

I agree with some of the others though that it could use some power-ups, but I say, save that for a sequel. Allow yourself some time to make up some interesting power-ups and I garentee that the sequel will be a smash it.

I'm seeing a place trophy for this somewhere. Good luck and keep it up.

ivicaa responds:

Thanks a lot. I didn't check all games available out there, but so far I haven't seen something similar too.

You've done it again.

I loved the first Between the Lines game and this one is just as good, even better, giving me some goals to work towards. Spacebar seems functional; but, my only suggestion for BTL 3 would be the ability to unlock new music. Love the song selected, but if you could find a couple more pumping tunes to add, I think it would make the series soar! Awesome work as usual.

agitatedferret responds:

I'm glad you're a fan of the series :) The problem with adding multiple sound tracks is that the file size would become very large forcing you to wait a long time before you can start playing the game. If you happen to have an iPhone please consider purchasing the game in the app store so I can continue making games like this!

Needs to be expanded.

The art is good, the voices funny, and the concept with the puppets interesting, but it desperately needs to be expanded, such as going through a day living with one of the lucky men. When/if you do expand on it, do post it. other than that, not a bad job.

blockthelayup responds:

I really don't have the time for an expansion but thanks for the review ! (:

Not bad

It's a decent highscore game, but if it were me, I'd make it so I could hit things as well with the boomerang. At least, there wasn't anything that I could find hitable.

mrcallum1995 responds:

i tried that but something in the code didnt work so im gonna put that into another update later!

Fun but one annoyance

Although short, I find that I love the retro style of gameplay, the graphics, and the music. Good job.

My only annoyance is that I can't figure out how to select my weapon. I understand that it has to do with my arrow keys, but I just can't seem to get it. Call me stupid, but it's starting to annoy me since I wanted to play with the Portal Gun.

Lambtaco responds:

Pause first, lol. I guess if you never played Megaman it's not so obvious.

A decent game of reversi

Although I have to admit, the easy mode is very easy, as the AI seems to be letting get the moves. Then again, I rarely win even against AI so that could be good for me. Like the choices in music and the graphics get the job done. Hope you got an A.

Nenenket responds:

And yes, got an A, thanks!! =)

Well, the easy mode is kind like playing random so you can figure the game out.
medium is like playing with the programmer (who is a newbie in that game)
and hard is like playing with the prigrammer using some strategy
in this case the AI is at the level of the programmer, that's why it's so easy.

Sorry. Not doing it.

I am sorry, but having to sign up for a game on a website where I already have sign in for is foolish. If I wanted to play, I'd play on Kongregate. And if it is like paint with chat, I'll just open my paint program or photoshop or even find someone on MSN to draw with there. I'm sure you put a lot of effort into it, and I'll give you a neutral vote, but I'm not signing up.

I think what would help would be adding the guest feature. I'd probably try it then, but as this like this don't hold my attention long, there would be no point in me creating an account.

BlamBear responds:

Yeah, I've removed that now as most people seemed put off.
Thanks for your feedback <3

Amusing

Like said, it's nothing major, but I do find it a stress reliever, even if I am a pokenerd. Can you possibly make one of Gary Oak? That one I'd really endorse.

Foxpwned responds:

thank you! XD
maybe I'll add some options, including one
where you can hit Gary Oak! XD

Ehehe. Zombie Army

I love how you can make more than one zombie. Not sure how much you can fit, but it's fun. Good job.

leferink responds:

i think you can make four in it

Still a blammer and protector, but have now tried making my own games. Oh boy...
