Fun short game if you don't mind hand cramps and carpal tunnel.

I do like the Gameboy style of it and the colors and graphics are very fitting for it. I also live the music, although it reminds me more of C64. Then again, that is just me.

I kinda agree with some that I wish it were longer, but I'm glad it isn't because of the controls. Shooting and changing directions of shooting is fine, but the movements needs to be smoother. Having to press one square at a time is tiring on the hand and I would hate to think of doing it were it a full game.

It would have great potential as a stand-alone if the walking control was fixed and if it were longer. May be something to consider in the future. Still glad I played it.

Thank you, I am still new to this kinda of style game.. I'm used to Topdown and some platformer, so it was a huge challenge (hence the shortness)

I thought the controls kinda sucked too, but I'm learning some new control schemes. I am glad you liked it for the most part, I was afraid it wasn't going to survive the night like most games here.. So I'm glad! I will start learning new control schemes and maybe even edit this game with new setup. :D

Super Hyper Ultra Mega Fast Extreme Fun Time Madness in the Fingers!

XD Oh god this was fun. The graphics were unique and the rush of trying to figure out what I had to do was awesome. I lost over and over but they really did put a smile to my face. You and the students better have gotten A's for this work.

WarmanSteve responds:

Thanks a lot, dude! We just wanted to make a fun game first and foremost, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. We did this through a club, but it would've been nice to get a grade for it XD

Quite Nostalgic.

While I grew up more on a C64 rather than a zxspectrum, it did remind me of some games I played when I was younger. You captured the very essence aside from some music. A small loop could have added a little to it. Overall though, nice, simple, and fun for such a small game.

I've always been a Commodore guy as well, but the Speccy's style suits me better since I suck at drawing and I find working with just a handful of colors easier. =)
The same applies to music: I can't write a single line of it. Maybe next time I'll try with Autotracker, since I agree on the damage done by absolute silence.
In the end, though, I'm really glad you liked the game. =D

It isn't often that one can make a 2d game scary, but dang it, you did. The concept reminds me of the Weeping Angels and to imagine those in a tight corridor is nightmarish enough. With the atmosphere and music and dark colors, it is an amazing experience, and not an easy one either, which is not a bad thing.

Jaxtrasi responds:

Sometimes I imagine playing this game in first person. I think I'd find it unplayably scary.

I wanted to wait until I had the game finished before I gave this a review. Simply put, it's a cute monster of a game. The graphics are bright, the character is adorable, and the music is so calm yet poppy at the same time. Minni is a great little mascot.

However, under its cuteness, it is a game that will make you ragequit at least once, I guarantee some of you. The difficulty is a good one though and you will come back to see if maybe, with a few tries, you can beat all 50 levels. New obstacles are introduced is a well-paced manner and you get used to them once you progress. For what it is, there is nothing that I would give this game except a 5/5.

I think my only complaint was that I wanted to play more. I strongly urge you to make a sequel for this and, if possible, allow it to have a level editor and the ability to share levels. I would also suggest maybe making a level select screen as opposed to flipping through the levels.

TheSpydog responds:

Great review! I think calling it a "cute monster of a game" perfectly fits what I was aiming for. :) Really glad you enjoyed it! I considered putting a level editor in this game with a sharing feature, but it was a more difficult task than I imagined! Same with the level select screen. But if I do make a sequel, I will certainly keep those suggestions in mind! Thanks!

My god. You've set the bar high for the others working with their first stencyl flash. And for a first game, I give 5 stars and a hug. There's little wrong with it.

The graphics are stunning. The use of the blacks and washout give it that calm but lonely feel to it, which I like.

The gameplay is good. Some typical platforming aspects, but the mix of orb shooting, character switching, and puzzle solving is something I don't see all that often.

And then the music. Generally, I tend to mute music in most games I try so to substitute my own tracks, but the music here is absolutely amazing. I could listen to it all day.

Wonderful game and would love, love, LOVE to see more from you. Now if you excuse me, I have to not sleep for a week so to improve my first stencyl game...lol.

Frozennnn responds:

hey ! thank you very much yes was the first time i use stencyl, thanks for the feedback next game we make toghether n.n

Better than the American Chopper Version!

While the concept of color popping isn't new, it has its own charm. The graphics and story are cute and the music is fitting. Of course, like any puzzle game, it is addicting as always.

Thank you :-)

A first flash game that is actually worth playing?

Well, actually, there are many, but the majority of ones that I have come across in the Hop and Bop style are generally crude drawings and with no thought about gameplay put into them. Super busy enemies and with jumping so bad that it feels like you force it.

This game, on the other hand, is incomplete and yet more playable and more enjoyable than many completed first flash games I have come across. I love the music and while the graphics are simple, they are nice and clean looking and have a charm to them.

The controls were something I had to adjust to, especially the noClip, but somehow it was enjoyable. They did make some parts of the game frustrating, but as with any game, I figured out how to avoid the obstacles using the jumps and whatnot.

As an incomplete game, it is a four star runner. Some features I suggest are a level restart button along with the level select features and some parts with more clever ways of using noClip, as opposed to random spots that use it. Stay classy and I hope to see more from you.

MisterPointless responds:

Thanks! I also do think that I didn't use the noClipping "feature" to it's fullest extent. I should use it a little more cleverly. I also have a level restart button, but for reasons unknown I deleted it, lol.

For a first ever game, you did well. 4 stars for the actual game and a big +1 for actually putting effort into your first submission. The dolls weren't creepy as such, but the atmosphere and the like worked well. Really want to see more from you.

ConinRi responds:

Thank you :) and I'm glad you enjoyed the game. the dolls are non-scary for the fact that it was decided to make them cute so you just had to click them. In the remake there will be more dolls :).

Below this will probably be another easter decorating game that I gave a "0" to for the lack of design and lying to say that I could "make my egg the way I wanted it" when clearly I couldn't. THIS game on the other hand, I am giving a "5" stars for actually letting me make my own pattern, taking me back to days when I used to make colored eggs for Easter as a kid, and for actually being educational of sorts as well. Unlike the one that will probably be below this game passing judgement, there was thought put into this and it deserves high praise.

EmeraldEmpire responds:

Thanks so much!

I really appreciate your comment, it makes me glad that we decided to put this up on Newgrounds :)

Happy Easter!

Still a blammer and protector, but have now tried making my own games. Oh boy...
