This game doesn't need cupcakes to attract me

Although I am too old for moshi pets and the like, and I know that this game is for kids, I love it. It's simple, sure, but with a goal of trying to get all those lil monsters and so many combinations, it has replay value. The graphics are adorable. I could just squeeze everything. The only thing that it could really use is some music. Overall though, great job.

How TGF2 was supposed to be used

I must admit, although I use Games Factory myself, I usually dread seeing the logo as I'm usually expecting another chocobreak variant, or a crappy platformer someone slapped together in 10 minutes. This is different and has restored my faith that there are people out there that are actually using the program to make decent and fun games.

It was very addicting and although the graphics were simple, I liked them. The music was fitting and the game concept was something that you don't always see. Good job.

Only thing that kinda put me down a little was a repetition of some levels. You have that set to generate randomly?

Overall, good game, quite addictive and I hope to see more from you. Good job!

Thanks for the review LosaruTaiyo.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game and actually found it addicting. It means a lot to me.

About the levels sometimes repeating, I did use Random() in TGF2 so that it would calculate randomly which level to jump to next. Every now and then it would jump to the same level though. I looked it up on the ClickTeam forums and it turns out that the random operator has something to do with the computer's clock. So I guess in the end it might not be so random after all and repeats will occur depending on what time it is on your clock... that's what I understand so far anyways.

Thanks for the review, I'm glad you liked the game :)
I will continue to make more.

A great blast, but somewhat awkward.

It's a decent little game and for something done in a low bit style vs it's size, it's one of the better games out there. I enjoy the graphics with the colors and all and the music is just phenomenal! Everything seems fluid and I could see this having great potential.

What kinda made me vote down a bit though was the conrolling. Now I know, it's customizable, which is great since you don't see that everyday, but why am I forced to use the mouse to shoot while moving. Something that has closer ties to a platformer than a run and shoot game should allow me to switch the shooting to be keyboard based, such as using the spacebar or shift to shoot ahead of me.

Besides that though, it's a good job aside from the mouse shooting control. Good work.

Nothing slowing this snail game down

This game is the quintessential of a platformer. Great 8-bit feel with the graphics and the music, comical characters, and a mix of several aspects that I'm sure I can't even cover.

Now I admit I'm not that familiar with the metroid series, but I do get the references with the doors and such and at this time, I have not finished the game (Stompy stomped me hard.) I surprisingly get a slight Zelda feeling with it, especially with the shell collecting in some aspects and VVVVV with its sticking to walls, although I'm many games have used that before. Also nice one with the turtle.

I can't wait to finish this and if I could suggest anything, it would be to make a sequel that is larger and downloadable. I would undoubtedly place this in my library of games. Excellent work and hope to hear more about Snailiad in the future.

A Monster of a Good Time

What can I say? Being able to create your own creature, smash cities and kill people and the military? It's awesome. I've come across a couple of ones that use the 'evolving' monster concept, but I love the customization. The music is great, art is good and I do hope for a sequel in the future with even more possibilities. A+ my friend.

Unlike Greedy, I can share the points

This game is wonderful! The music is nice and relaxing, the artwork is cute and colorful and the puzzle-style is almost innovative to me, since I haven't played one like it before.

I agree with some of the others though that it could use some power-ups, but I say, save that for a sequel. Allow yourself some time to make up some interesting power-ups and I garentee that the sequel will be a smash it.

I'm seeing a place trophy for this somewhere. Good luck and keep it up.

Thanks a lot. I didn't check all games available out there, but so far I haven't seen something similar too.

Elephants, lasers, and monsters

Mix that with some of my favorite people on here, plus a great sponser, and you have epicness. I seriously can't play this during my studies because I get so hooked. The skills system is a unique one for me, with all the branching, and I find myself imagining so much replay value with this once I'm finished. The art is...well for fuck's sakes. Take Sushi cat and make it an elephant! It's superb! The music is great and varied, as well as the enemies. I do get some jumping issues here and there, but that is mostly my fault. Overall, I love it! I seriously encourage a sequel!

Awesomely short but maybe too destructive

Hey Flashbros.
Awesome game as expected. While short, it has plenty of replay value in the challenge of making 'Lovercraftian Lord' or even higher in the rankings and seeing just what you can kill with the different items. The artstyle is great and done in the way signature of many of your games. Music is great as well

Why this is getting a 9 though is based on a major bug/glitch I seem to be getting that, if I set my display to low, go to the score screen and then hit replay, it crashes my shockwave flash player. This was mostly found in my Komodo Dragon (A Chrome Based Browser). As that is my main browser and I have never come across this with other games such as Haunt the House, I do think it's the game. It takes away from my enjoyment as it means moving to firefox, which sometimes gives me slowdown.

Other than that bros., great work and do hope for some more, especially Grimoire 2

My God...

I'm speechless. This is a wonderful game! The graphics are good, the puzzle type, although not new, is one that I have seen rarely used, and it even has an interesting story to boot! Do hope that this gains enough popularity for a sequel!

It's a good pain. I'll just sleep it off.

It may be just me, but this game is somewhat difficult. Maybe has to do with getting used to the controlling (wasn't expecting the control button to be the jump button) or maybe just the puzzle aspects in general. I like it personally. It's not taking my hand through different aspects. It's just "Here's some blocks, here's some buttons, get the fruit and don't get killed". I will admit I haven't played the first one so I can't really compare the two.

The graphics are quite pleasant on the eyes. I like the calming color scheme. The character himself is cute and the detailing on things such as trees is well done

The music is phenomenal! It has that nice midi sound that takes me back to my NES/SNES days and all those times with the commadore. If listened to on its own, be warned people, it can put you to sleep, but oddly enough, you won't be sleeping when hopping around and solving the puzzles. the hopping may get annoying, but not so much to me to take a point off.

Can't think of any other rating to give this but a 10. Well done and keep up the good work.

Still a blammer and protector, but have now tried making my own games. Oh boy...
